Consumable items are a part of the back and forth trade in the Lands Between. A particular consumable known as the Starlight shard is one of them and can be used as a trade item in Elden Ring

Today we'll have a look at the Starlight Shard locations in Elden Ring and what they are used for in the game for players who are unsure about what to do with these valuable consumable items.

Starlight Shard locations in Elden Ring

The shards can be found in various locations in the Lands Between, most are found near the half-moon, or bowl-like statues so be on the lookout for those on your journey.

Below is a list of all the locations players can find them.

Weeping Peninsula

You can find one Starlight Shard near the Altar by the Cliff in the Weeping Peninsula. It is on the southeast side of the cliff face just to your right.

Limgrave

The item is southeast of the map in Limgrave, so head southeast from the Agheel Lake South site of grace, towards the top of a cliff. From there you will see the statue just further on and you can find one Shard next to it.

Stormhill

Go to the very west end of Stormhill until you reach a cliff. You can find one Shard located here, just after the Stormfoot catacombs site of grace.

Waypoint Ruins

The Shard is rewarded to you by Sorceress Sellen during her questline. Ask about her master, then ask about him a second time after locating him in Caelid.

Caelid

There are two shards to find near Caelid. To find the first, head northeast of Caelid and find the first shard located near the Bestial Sanctum. The second one in Caelid is southwest of Caelid, just west of Caelid Highway South site of grace.

Mt. Gelmir

You can find one Shard located at the Top of Mt. Gelmir on the edge of the arena you fought the Full Grown Fallinger Beast. It is just above the ninth Mt. Gelmir Campsite site of grace.

Liurnia of the Lakes

This shard is located on one of the cliffs on the east side of Liurnia of the Lakes region south of the artist shack that overlooks the Academy Gate Town and Gate Town bridge.

The Shaded Castle

This Shard is easily located just behind the Shaded castle. It is in front of a crescent bowl-shaped sundial by the cliffs nearby.

Flame Peak

Another easy find, near the cliffs on the east side of Flame Peak, you will find one Starlight Shard.

Cathedral of Manus Celes

Here you can find 11 starlight shards, 10 are found all around the site of grace at the centre of the Cathedral of Manus Celes, and one more is located on the cliff to the north of the cathedral.

What to use the Starlight Shards for in Elden Ring

Starlight shards are consumable, and you can use them to recover FP during battle. But a more tactical use would be to trade them for Spirit Summons. You can do this after completing Seluvis's quest and discovering his puppet laboratory.

After doing so, you will be able to trade The Starlight Shards with him for Spirit summons. The list of trades available for the summons is as follows:

  • Finger Maiden Therolina Puppet: 2 Starlight Shards.
  • Jarwight Puppet: 3 Starlight Shards.
  • Dolores the Sleeping Arrow Puppet: 5 Starlight Shards, You must have given Seluvis's Potion to Nepheli Loux and found her puppet in the laboratory.
  • Dung Eater Puppet: 5 Starlight Shards, You must have given Seluvis's Potion to Dung Eater and found his puppet in the laboratory.

And that's everything you need to know regarding the Starlight Shard locations in Elden ring and what to use them for. We hope you found this guide informative and if you want to know more, please head over to our dedicated Elden Ring section
